FINE ART

Fine art photography is the part of my work where I follow ideas rather than assignments. I use both a traditional camera and drones to explore how light and structure can carry emotion, in landscapes, cities, and more intimate scenes.

Some photographs stand on their own, others occasionally grow into a small series. I am less interested in fixed categories and more in how an image feels and how it is built. A coastline, an architectural fragment, a figure, or a composite image can all belong here if they reflect that same way of seeing.

Most of these works are conceived as prints. I pay attention to how tones, detail, and contrast will appear on paper, and how a selection of images can live together in a room. Editions are limited, and each print is produced with the care of an individual piece.

If you are looking for artwork for a private home, an office, or a public space, this gallery presents a selection of my fine art photographs available as prints. For information about sizes, editions, or commissioned projects, feel free to get in touch.

FINE ART PROJECT
WIR=BASEL - WE=BASEL
WE = BASEL is an ongoing portrait project about people who live in Basel and how they are tied to the city. For each participant, I begin with a conversation in which they choose one place or symbol of Basel that is especially important to them and that can be photographed.

I then create three photographs: a portrait of the face, a photograph of the hands held in a specific way, and a photograph of the chosen place or symbol. During post‑production I decide whether to work with the face or with the hands, and combine that image with the place or symbol, so that the person and their Basel overlap in a single picture.

Each finished piece is printed on handmade paper produced by the Basler Papiermühle in Basel, prepared with a primer that allows inkjet printing on this traditional surface. The project is built around one simple line: a person from Basel, a place in Basel, and a print made on paper from Basel.
